McEntire Produce is pleased to announce that we have just opened a new 163,000 square-foot, state of the art food processing facility. The facility is located in Columbia, South Carolina in close proximity to I-77, I-26, I-95 and I-20. It was completed in September of 2006.
The new facility gives us the ability to provide more efficient service and fresher, higher quality product to our customers. |
New Supply Chain Manager joins McEntire Produce Staff We would like to welcome Mike Sexton to McEntire Produce. Mike joined us in February 2010, relocating from the Atlanta, Georgia area. Mike brings extensive knowledge of the retail and foodservice business to his new role of Supply Chain Manager at McEntire Produce. Mike joins us from Fresh Express/Chiquita, Inc. based in Cincinnati, OH., where he has been employed for the last fourteen years. At Fresh Express, Mike held positions ranging from, Senior Production Manager, Transportation and Logistics Manager, Director of Customer Service, and Director of Demand Planning and Forecasting. During this time, Mike helped drive increased customer service levels, establish a VMI department and developed a Demand Planning process and team. Prior to Fresh Express, Mike worked for Eastern Standard Inc. based in Baltimore, Maryland. During his seven years at Eastern Standard, Mike worked as a department manager in the custom window covering production division. We look forward to the contributions that Mike will make to our growing business. New Human Resource Manager Rebel Blake originally came to work for McEntire in January of 2008 as the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator. Before coming to McEntire, Rebel served as the Fitness Coordinator for the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, SC, a public residential high school for emerging artists, and also as a Wellness Coach with Zest Quest, an educational program which incentivizes children to lead healthier lifestyles, a nonprofit division of the Cliffs Communities of North and South Carolina
Rebel is a West Virginia native and a 2005 Graduate of Furman University in Greenville, SC she is currently enrolled in Clemson University’s Graduate School in pursuit of a Masters of Human Resource Development.
She is the proud mother of a Kindergartner and has recently become engaged to a Safeguards Engineer for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. Rebel is a dynamic addition to McEntire’s Human Resource Department. |
